Accessibility statement
Canola Lane Driving School wants everyone to be able to use this website and our services. We follow The Accessibility for Manitobans Act and its standards, including the Customer Service Standard and the Accessible Information and Communication Standard, which asks organizations to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
What we have done
- Designed to WCAG 2.2 Level AA where possible — colour contrast, visible focus indicators and text that resizes to 200%.
- All features work with a keyboard; a “skip to main content” link appears first on every page.
- Images have text alternatives; decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
- Forms have visible labels, clear error messages and do not rely on colour alone.
- Animations respect the “reduce motion” setting on your device.
- Body text uses Atkinson Hyperlegible Next, a typeface designed for readers with low vision.
In the car
Tell us about any disability or condition that affects how you learn — for example hearing loss, ADHD, anxiety or dyslexia — and we will adapt lesson pace, instructions and breaks. Support persons and service animals are welcome where it is safe. Vehicle adaptations (such as hand controls) are not available in our fleet; we can suggest specialist providers.
Known limitations
- The map on the Areas page is simplified; the same information is available as a text list.
- Some links lead to third-party websites (such as MPI) that we do not control.
Feedback and alternative formats
If anything is hard to use, or you need information in another format (large print, plain text, read aloud by phone), contact us at [email protected] or +1 204-994-7488. We aim to respond within five business days.
